How NutrasInsights chooses products, keeps ratings independent from affiliate revenue, and corrects mistakes.
Last updated: September 5, 2026
This page explains how we decide what to cover, how we keep our evaluations independent from our affiliate revenue, and what happens when we get something wrong.
How we choose products
We cover nutraceuticals that are actively marketed to consumers online and fall within one of our departments. Coverage is never for sale: a product does not need an affiliate program to be reviewed, and having one does not guarantee a favorable write-up.
How we evaluate products
Our evaluations are evidence-based, not hands-on — a supplement's effect on sleep, joints, or digestion isn't something a reviewer can verify in a lab in a week. Instead, we compare the manufacturer's label and claims against the peer-reviewed research on each ingredient, check dose against the studies, and flag anything the vendor states that we can't independently verify. Full methodology: How We Evaluate.
No cure or treatment claims
Dietary supplements are not drugs. We never state or imply that a product diagnoses, treats, cures, or prevents any disease — ours or the manufacturer's claim to that effect is never repeated as fact. Every efficacy statement in a review is tied to a specific cited study, or is explicitly attributed to the vendor as an unverified claim.
Editorial independence
NutrasInsights earns revenue through affiliate commissions (see our Affiliate Disclosure). That revenue never determines our conclusions, which products we choose to cover, or how favorably we write about them. We don't publish a numeric score anywhere on the site, for or against any product.
Corrections and updates
We update reviews when we find outdated pricing, a changed formula, new research, or an error in our own analysis. Every review shows a "Updated" date in its byline. To report an issue, use our Contact page.
Authorship
Every review is attributed to a named staff editor with their own author page describing their focus area — see About.
